History

In 1837 an English lord came to Hyllenget in the middle of Norway, and fell in love with the Queen of Rivers, Namsen, and the spectacular salmon fishing here.

Hyllenget Manor

The salmon fishing saga lives on. Hyllenget is owned by the Tidemand family, who has transformed the farm to an extravagant manor, filled with luxurious comfort and charm. On June 17, 2007, Hyllenget Manor welcomed their first guests. That weekend the magnificent estate was inaugurated, and a big 22 kilo salmon was landed.
